With all the so called “old school” machines being built, the definition of “old school” has become somewhat blurred. In my opinion, we should stick with the explanation that “old school” motorcycles were built a long time ago and “new school” motorcycles were built more recently. Who in the world would want to ride a motorcycle with an “old school” Linkert carburetor, anyway?  Not me. Give me an S&S or a Mikuni carburetor for reliable day-to-day street riding. Covington’s Speedster may RESEMBLE an “old school” motorcycle, but it’s equipped with lots of up-to-date, “new school” running gear.
